1,Applicable scope:
The composite insulator hydrophobicity live detection instrument is a new product for online detection of insulator hydrophobicity. Suitable for online detection of the hydrophobicity status of composite insulators in transmission lines with voltage levels of 110kV and above, as well as for hydrophobicity testing experiments and factory inspections of various composite insulators and silicone rubber. It is also suitable for hydrophobicity testing of RTV coating materials for magnetic insulators.
2,Detection principle:
Determine the hydrophobicity status of composite insulators based on the water spray classification method of the Swedish Transmission Research Institute (STRI). Based on advanced digital image processing technology, the hydrophobicity status of composite insulators is objectively judged by extracting grayscale information such as information entropy, seed rate, spectral amplitude mean, shape coefficient and area percentage of water droplets or water traces from hydrophobic images.

Compliant with IEC 62073_ TS 62073-2016 "Guidelines for Measuring the Surface Wettability of Insulators" and DL/T864-201 "Guidelines for the Use of Composite Insulators for AC Overhead Lines with a nominal voltage higher than 1000V" test standard requirements.
