DX-8368 Plastic Smoke Density Tester
Plastic combustion smoke density tester is a new type of testing equipment for measuring smoke density developed according to the technical conditions specified in the standard GB/8323.2-2008 and ISO5659-2 "Plastic Smoke Generation Part 2 Test Method for Determining Smoke Density by Single Chamber Method", these standards are suitable for determining the specific optical density of smoke produced when plastic is burned, and the maximum specific optical density is the test result. It is used to evaluate the fuming performance of plastics under specified conditions.
It conforms to GB8323.2-2008 "Plastic-Smoke Generation-Part II: Test Method for Determining Smoke Density by Single-chamber Method" and ISO5659.2-2006 "Plastic-Smoke Generation Part II: Determination of Optical Density by Single-chamber Method" test standard. astm e662
The whole instrument is composed of a closed test chamber, a photometer measurement system, a radiation cone, a combustion system, an igniter, a test box, a bracket, a temperature measuring instrument and a smoke density test software. The circuit is developed by single-chip microcomputer, with high technical content and stable performance. The instrument is suitable for all plastics, but can also be used for the evaluation of other materials (e.g. rubber, textile coverings, lacquered surfaces, wood and other materials), and is widely used by production plants in the plastics industry, solid materials industry, and scientific research and testing units.
1. Test chamber:
1.1 The front door is fitted with a window and an opaque light shield that blocks the movement of the window.
1.2 The bottom of the square box is installed with a blasting aluminum foil sheet to prevent overpressure, which is composed of a safety bursting disc with a thickness of 0.04mm, a length of 405mm, a width of 200mm, and a total area of 81000mm2, and an internal pressure regulating device of the box is installed (see Figure 2).
1.3 Light window: the upper and lower two Ø 75mm light windows, the bottom of the light window is equipped with a 9W annular electric heater, in order to ensure the temperature of the upper surface of the light window (50 oC ~ 55o C is appropriate) in order to reduce the smoke concentration on the surface to the minimum, the light window is on the top of the test box, and an 8mm thick optical platform is installed around the light window outside the test box, and the optical table is fixed with a metal rod of Ø 15mm that can connect the fixed platform and the test box.
1.4 Inner size: height 914mm X width 914mm X depth 610mm
1.5 Material: It is composed of three layers: the outer layer is 1.5mm thick steel plate, high temperature electrostatic baking beige white paint, the middle layer is composed of 60mm thick asbestos layer, and the inner layer is 1.2mm thick USU304 stainless steel, high temperature electrostatic baking black paint, which can be easily cleaned.
1.5 Air inlet and exhaust port: The air inlet is installed on the top of the test box, with a diameter of Φ65mm, and the closing and closing states are controlled by a solenoid valve with a flange; The exhaust port is installed at the bottom of the left side, with a diameter of Φ80mm, and is controlled by a solenoid valve with a flange to control the closing and closing states, and an exhaust fan is attached.
2. Photoelectric measurement system: It is composed of power supply, photomultiplier tube, magnifying translucens, shutter, filter, neutral translucens, lens, optical system obscura, light source, and optical window heater
2.1. Light source:
2.1.1. Light source: It is composed of an incandescent lamp of 6.5V, a transformer that provides power (input 220V and output 6.5V), and a variable resistor.
2.1.2. Installation: The bulb is installed in the opaque dark box at the bottom of the test chamber, which is composed of a light source, a convex lens, a light window heater, and an optical window.
2.1.3. Window adder: AC220V power supply, surrounded by 9W resistance wire, to ensure the temperature of the upper surface of the window (50 oC ~ 55oC).
2.1.4. Convex lens: 51mm in diameter, adjusted and calibrated, completely forming a ring with a diameter of 51mm and no other light in the beam outside the ring.
2.1.5. Optical window: composed of an unobstructed translucent film and a camera obscura box.
2.2. Photodetector:
2.2.1. Photodetector: It is composed of photomultiplier tube, magnifying filter, shutter, filter, neutral filter, convex lens, optical window, etc.
2.2.2. Photomultiplier tube:
2.2.2.1. Parameters of photomultiplier tube: voltage: DC 1000V, power supply: input 12V, output 0 ~ -1200V 2mA
2.2.2.2. Photoelectric system processing: the photodetector is a photomultiplier tube, connected with the A/D number template, and processed by multi-stage amplification microcomputer. It can continuously measure the transmittance of the corresponding optical density over time, which is 5 quantities of spectral sensitivity response, similar to the response of the naked eye and the dark current is less than 0.001uA. The minimum sensitivity of the photomultiplier tube can be obtained by reading 100% of the 0.5 neutral filter and one ND-2 magnification filter in the optical path.
2.2.3. Magnification filter: ND-2.0 transmittance is 0.95%, and the color temperature of A light source is K=2854.
2.2.4. Shutter: used for baffle and 0% correction transmittance.
2.2.5. Filter: For the compensation filter, the optical density is 0.1~1.0 and 2.0, a total of 11 pieces.
2.2.6. Neutral filter: ND-0.5, transmittance 31.7%, A light source color temperature K = 2854.
2.2.7. Convex lens: the diameter is 51mm, so that the direct beam can be focused into a small strong spot at the translucent plate between the upper and lower obscura.
2.2.7. Calibration of optical system: detection with a neutral filter with an optical density of 3.0 and a wavelength of 550~650nm.
2.2.8. Optical window: composed of an unobstructed translucent sheet and a camera obscura box.
3. Radiation cone:
3.1. Radiation cone: It is composed of a heating element with a rated power of 2600W, which can provide 10KW/m2~50KW/m2 radiation intensity in the center of the sample surface. When testing the irradiance of the other two locations 25 mm away from the center of the sample, the irradiance of these two positions cannot be less than 85% of the irradiance of the center of the sample.
3.2. Radiant cone heater: powered by an independent power supply, the power of single-phase isolation transformer is 3000W, and the temperature control adopts thyristor control with fast cycle, and the control temperature can be stabilized at ±2 °C.
3.3. Heat flow meter: a flat area with a range of 50kw/m2 and a diameter of 10mm in the receiving radiation area, the surface of which is coated with matte black, and the cooling is water-cooled.
3.4. Igniter: The igniter nozzle is made of Φ4.0mm aperture copper tube, and the flame length and horizontal measurement are 30mm.
4. Gas supply system:
