UL1685 Wire & Cable Burning Test Device DX8297
Instrument Introduction:
The UL 1685 Wire and Cable Flame Test Apparatus is an instrument used to evaluate the ability of a single or bundled cable to inhibit flame propagation under specified conditions, and meets the test requirements of UL 1685, IEEE 383 and IEEE 1202.
The flame suppression performance of the cable is evaluated by igniting the specimen with a vertically placed flame of 20 kW (70,000 Btu/hr) with a theoretical value of 20 kW (70,000 Btu/hr) in a space of a defined volume for 20 minutes.
Technical Parameters:
Standards:
IEEE 1202
Flame propagation - wire and cable testing
IEEE 383
Type test standards for IE wires, field joints, and connectors for nuclear power plants
UL 1685
The fire spread of the cable and the production of smoke
Key features:
Test space size: 2438 (length) × 2438 (width) × 3353 (height) mm, volume: 19.93m3, inner floor area: 5.94m2;
Thermocouples and bidirectional anemometers are used to measure the temperature and gas velocity in the exhaust pipe;
The bidirectional anemometer is used to accurately measure the vortex velocity of the high-temperature combustion gas generated during the combustion process in the exhaust pipe;
The pallet size is 305 (length) × 76 (width) × 2438 (height) mm, the width of the steel ladder is 25±6mm, and the vertical width is 229mm;
Blowtorch with propane burner with Venturi mixer for IEC60332-3;
Mass flow controller to ensure that the air supply and air pressure can still maintain a smooth airflow;
The data acquisition board is used to accurately collect and measure the temperature of internal components and the flame temperature of the burner;
Gas and air can be controlled by solenoid valves;
Smoke density measurement system
Paramagnetic oxygen heat release rate test system
Solenoid valves and igniters can be manually controlled via buttons on the control panel, and the instrument can be powered off in case of emergency (including computer)
