Application scope : Mainly used to determine the concentration of smoke released by cables and optical cables during combustion under specific conditions.
Compliance with standards: Meet the requirements of GB/T17651.1-1998 and IEC61034-1-2 "Measurement of Smoke Density of Cables and Optical Cables under Specific Conditions of Combustion" test standards.
Main features: This testing machine involves professional knowledge in mechanical, optical, and electronic aspects. It is an integrated product of mechanical and optoelectronic technology, with advantages such as reasonable structure, stable performance, and easy operation; Windows XP operating interface, LabVIEW style, and comprehensive security mechanism. During the testing period, the measurement results are displayed in real-time and a perfect curve is dynamically drawn. The data can be permanently saved, retrieved, and printed out, and reports can be directly printed.
Principle: The smoke density optical measurement system for burning cables or optical cables under specific conditions consists of a light source, a silicon photocell receiver, and a computer system. The light generated by the light source passes through 3m×3m×3m smoke density laboratory forms a uniform beam of light with a diameter of 1.5m±0.1m on the wall opposite the light source, and a photocell installed at the center of the beam detects the beam intensity from the light source. When a large amount of smoke is generated in the combustion chamber due to the burning of cables or optical cables, the smoke absorbs a part of the photoelectric energy, weakening the beam intensity of the silicon photocell. By processing the data with a computer system, the transmittance Tt with a linear response relative to the initial 100% can be calculated.
Combustion chamber: The entire cubic combustion chamber is fixed on a square bracket using SUS304 thick 1.5mm stainless steel.
Combustion chamber size: 3M x 3M x 3M, totaling 27 cubic meters. It can be a brick wall structure or a steel plate structure, chosen by the customer;
Equipment structure: There is a glass observation window on the front, and a transparent sealing window with a size of 100mm x 100mm is installed on the opposite walls on both sides, allowing the light beam of the horizontal light measuring device to pass through. The height of the center of the sealing window from the ground is 2150mm. There are several ventilation holes at the bottom, with ventilation holes of 100x500mm (50 square centimeters). The bottom is equipped with six wheels and the top of the six casters is equipped with exhaust fans.
Optical measurement system:
Light source: imported quartz halogen lamp, nominal power: 100W, nominal voltage: 12V, nominal light return: 2000-3000Lm
Receiver: It is a silicon photocell with a light transmittance of 0% indicating no light passing through, and a light transmittance of 100% indicating complete light passing through without obstruction. The spectral response is matched with the International Committee on Illumination (CIE) spectrophotometer.
Installation: Install on one end of a 150 length pipe with a dustproof window on the other end. The inner wall of the pipe is glossy black and anti reflective.
A light transmittance of 0% indicates no light passing through, while a light transmittance of 100% indicates complete light passing through without obstruction.
Standard ignition source: The ignition source is 1.0L alcohol. Configuration: ethanol 90%, methanol 4%, water 6%
Alcohol tray (combustion boat): made of stainless steel with a thickness of 1.0mm, with a bottom surface of 210x110mm, a top surface of 240x140mm, and a height of 80mm,
Installation position: The height of the alcohol tray from the ground is 100mm, allowing for air circulation.
Mixing of smoke: Using a desktop fan to evenly distribute smoke in the combustion chamber. The fan shaft is 250mm above the ground, 500mm above the wall, and the air volume is 7 cubic meters per minute. During the experiment, the air was blown horizontally by a fan.
Blank test: The purpose is to adjust the temperature inside the combustion chamber to reach the specified temperature, and burn the alcohol lamp to achieve a temperature of 25 ± 5 ℃ in the combustion chamber.
Temperature measurement device: A temperature sensor is installed at a height of 1.5 meters from the ground and 0.5 meters from the wall inside the door. Monitor the temperature in the laboratory.
Random accessories: including a set of transmittance measurement software that can output curves and reports. See Figures 1 and 2.
Including one computer and one printer each: The computer is equipped with Lenovo brand as follows: CPU: E4300 Main board: Asus P5KPL Memory: Kingston 2G; Hard disk 160G display: 15 inch LCD drive: Samsung DVD; Including stainless steel smoke exhaust system. (Using strong smoke exhaust and electric switch control as shown in the figure)

Environmental usage conditions: flat ground, good ventilation, free from flammable, explosive, corrosive gases and dust; There is no strong electromagnetic radiation source nearby; Leave appropriate maintenance space around the equipment.
