1. Test sample: Two test insulators of the same design with a creepage distance between 500mm and 800mm,

2. Procedure: Conduct the test in a sealed, damp, and corrosion-resistant test chamber, with a volume not exceeding 20M3. Figure B1 is a schematic diagram of this test chamber

3. Separate observation holes for wipers and movable ultraviolet filters to observe the equipment in the experiment.

4. Test conditions: As shown in Figure B2, various stress cycles are applied to the insulator, which are repeated for about 5000 hours. During the equipment cycle test, the test sample should be subjected to temperature changes and condensation.

As shown in Figure B3, the test is installed vertically in the middle of the test, with a minimum distance of 400mm between the adjacent umbrella edges of the test specimen and the top, as well as between the test specimen and the wall and ground Before the experiment begins, the test sample should be cleaned with deionized water,

7. Up to three pairs of samples with similar creepage distances can be tested simultaneously

8. Voltage: The value obtained by dividing the creepage distance of the test sample (in mm) by 34.6 (equivalent to a creepage distance of 20mm/KV, calculated based on the phase to phase voltage)

9. For the power circuit, when the continuous negative current load is 250mA (r.m.s), the maximum voltage drop on the high voltage side during 1 second should not exceed 5%, and the protection level should be adjusted to 1A (r.m.s)

10. Sunlight simulation: The simulated solar radiation is provided by a xenon arc lamp with a nominal output of 6500W and equipped with two borosilicate glass filters (see example B.4), with a distance of approximately 480mm between the xenon arc lamp and the test sample

11. At the beginning of each experiment, a new lamp and filter should be used. During the experiment, when replacing the filter (and if the lamp is also necessary), it should be done according to the recommendation of the lamp manufacturer.
